How to get an .eml file
Gmail
Open the email, click the ⋮ menu next to Reply, then Download message.
Apple Mail
Drag the email from your inbox onto the desktop, or choose File → Save As and pick Raw Message Source.
Outlook
Open the email, choose File → Save As, and save it as an .eml file. On Outlook.com, use ⋯ then Download.
